DEPA
has the following superior features which make it a better system
for non-destructive testing of elastic properties of materials and
products :
1. Sturdy and reliable non-contact sensor with in-built
electronics to enhance signal to noise ratio.
2. Complete frequency spectrum response of the test sample is
displayed on the computer screen; Range is from 2 Hz to 50 KHz.
3. Software adjustable signal thresholds
4. Mouse activated cursor for frequency determination of any point
on the displayed frequency spectrum
5. Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) used to analyze the frequency
spectrum response to correctly and accurately determine resonant
frequency, damping coefficient, etc.; Readings have high
repeatability.
6. On-line statistical evaluation of results to provide enhanced
precision
7. On-line logarithmic damping coefficient [Q^-1] display along
with mean square error (MSE) values thereby indicating accuracy
and reliability of readings. (Click
here for damping coefficient details)
8. Works well for low modulus materials too in which impulse
excitation waves dampen quickly making it difficult to properly
determine their elastic properties; Examples of such materials are
rubber, resin composites, etc. Also works well for high modulus
materials in which impulse excitation waves die quickly because of
test piece size like small ceramic pieces whose fundamental
frequency is at the higher end of the spectrum.
9. A secondary calibration standard is provided traceable to our
primary standard room sample the values of which are in turn
traceable to National Physical Lab, New Delhi. Hence testing is
immediately to international standards.
10. With the exception of proprietary sensor and software, the
system uses all standard equipment / accessories. The sensor is
very sturdy and typically does not require any maintenance /
repairs. Hence, reliability and serviceability of the system is
excellent.
11. Sorting and grading program provide in Bulk production
inspection alongwith bar graph and statistics. You can sort
materials into pre-defined groups.
12. DEPA comes "automation ready". Provided with digital outputs,
DEPA automates the sorting process.
13. Mathematical simulation : You can write and FFT view an
equation that simulates the test object you are working with.
14. Mathematical simulation is also used to check the software
accuracy and for training.
15. The standard RS232C output can integrate with ink jet
marking devices so that inspection, marking and sorting can be
done at the same station.
16. DEPA outclasses and is more economical than any equipment
in its class.
17. Test results can be saved to XL files. Whenever, the same
file is opened now test results append automatically. Hence,
DEPA documents quality over protracted period of time.
18. The digitized signal from the tested object can be stored,
transmitted over e-mail, as there is an option to save it as a
data file. DEPA can read the data file to re-construct the
signal.
19. DEPA provides complete fesibility in entering data in any
units of your choice. e.g. mass could be in pounds, grams,
kilograms, miligrams etc.,
20. International Front end : The user screen can be ordered in
any language of your choice - English, German, Spainish etc.,
