Advanced Technology / Unmatched Value*
The Dynamic Elastic Properties Analyzer (DEPA) is an advanced
system for non-destructive testing (NDT) of the elastic properties
of materials and products.
DEPA displays a test specimen's complete frequency signature
and damping of the fundamental frequency. The system uses
Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) for highly accurate and repeatable
measurements. Online statistical evaluation of results provides
enhanced precision. Instantaneous measurements of resonant
frequency and damping coefficient as well as online computations
of Young's Modulus, Shear Modulus, Poisson's Ratio, etc. are made
available. These computations are performed for a variety of
shapes in accordance with ASTM, where available, or otherwise. Results
are piped to Excel spreadsheet as a record of tests performed.
DEPA can be used for a very wide range of materials and products.
It has addressed and solved the problem of measurement of elastic
properties in low modulus materials such as rubber, resin
composites, etc. in which the impulse excitation waves dampen
quickly.
DEPA is based on Impulse Excitation Technique (IET). Due to its
non-destructive nature and simplicity, IET has found wide
acceptance in industry and research. A number of standard test
methods have been developed by American Society for Testing and
Materials (ASTM) for determination of elastic moduli and Poisson's
Ratio using IET. [These are covered under 'References'].
The advanced technology of DEPA comes to you at a price significantly
lower than other systems with inferior technology. This is made possible
by the cost effective professional manpower available to Jagdish Electronics, the
designer and producer of the system. Thus, DEPA offers
unmatched value.
DEPA has been designed to meet the requirements of all
organizations, industrial, educational and research, which are
interested in determining the elastic properties of materials and
products in an accurate, quick and convenient manner with a very
reasonably priced system.
